Automic Automation: 25+ years of innovation & release version 24.

DICOS User Day 2025
Our favourite day of the year! This year it's even two days. Two days of in-depth practical knowledge, exciting insights and valuable networking. All centred around the topics of automation, observability and API management.

In a blog article by Jennifer Liharik, Senior Product Marketing Manager at Broadcom, it becomes clear how Automic Automation has continuously developed since its beginnings as UC4.

However, the article not only highlights the exciting milestones of the past, but also takes a look at the present and the future. The latest cloud innovations are particularly impressive. These clearly show that Automic Automation has recognised the importance of cloud technology and is expanding its functionality in this direction.

And now for the best:

Automic Automation is available in version 24!

The new functions are presented by Broadcom in short >> Videos on YouTube and promise even more efficiency and performance for automation processes.

Our IT experts have scrutinised the new version for you and identified the most important technical innovations:

Universal Language Support Thanks to the introduction of Unicode /UTF-8, coding problems are a thing of the past.
Java-Based Windows and Linux (x64) Agents The new agents make administration much simpler and more standardised.
CRUD operations of the AE REST API The AE REST interface not only offers the possibility to start processes, but now also to dynamically create new processes with CRUD operations such as create, read, update and delete. This provides even more starting points for using Automic as a central tool for automation.
Extension of the CyberArk functions For those who had problems with the previous solution via a local client, the extension of the CyberArk functions by supporting the REST API is an interesting new approach.
